USA 2011 Beauty Hauls – CVS, ULTA and MAC Cosmetics

CVS Haul Las Vegas

In the ever continuing story of my recent trip to the USA, I bring you yet another haul post. Most of these items were indeed last minute grabs with little thinking involved. Just how I like it!

CVS

Drugstore chain CVS are one of my favourite places to shop for beauty products. They sell everything and anything. In the case of this haul, it was 3am one Vegas morning and my jetlag was getting the better of me. God bless the 24hr drugstores I say. On the downside, CVS sells things online cheaper than in store, but I won’t complain because everything in store is still so much cheaper than Australia.

I spent 2 hours perusing the aisles of the nearest CVS and came out with these goodies …

Grand Total (including tax): US $66.92

Drugstores are fun

MAC Cosmetics

My first official MAC Cosmetics haul EVER! It took me forever to get in on the whole MAC buzz, and I don’t think I am quite at addiction stage just yet, but I wanted to give it a shot. Initially I went to the store to try get my hands on some of the Semi Precious eyeshadows but they were all pretty much sold out. Boo.

I found stuff to buy anyway …

Grand Total (including tax): US $70.27

My first ever MAC haul!

ULTA

As you may know, there was already a whole big deal about my trip to ULTA. I was determined not to have that trip be a waste so I bought somethings just so I could feel like it was worth it. At this time, my feet were in god awful pain and the blister bandages (bought from CVS above) were only working on already formed blisters.

I needed something for my feet and I needed it then and there …

Grand Total (including tax): US $67.56

A sad attempt of a ‘haul’

  1. The Sally Hansen nail strips aren’t super cheaper than priceline ($14.95 – so 20% cheaper) so it makes me feel a bit better – that we are not being completely ripped off all the time. If I hold out until priceline has a sale I might even get them cheaper!!

Very true Sarah. In this case they are quite close in cost, but if you buy online at the CVS website they are $9.99 so the prices do vary throughout the US.
