I heard a few rumblings of this earlier this week but now that the official announcement has hit my inbox I am so excited to share that Lancôme is bringing beauty blogging and YouTube superstar Michelle Phan to Australia for two days of live appearances.
If you aren’t familiar with Michelle Phan, you can view her blog to find the amazing tutorials she creates along with regular beauty product reviews and general news.
Lancôme have partnered with department store Myer to make this tour happen and it is a world first for our little country to have someone from the beauty blogging realm be given such enormous coverage.
In the press release, Myer General Manager of Cosmetics Liz Webster remarks,
“We are thrilled to have internationally renowned beauty blogger, Michelle Phan, at Myer for two exclusive in store appearances. Millions of women around the world look to Michelle for tips and inspiration; she’s one of the most influential people in the beauty industry today. It will certainly be an unforgettable customer experience.”
I am obviously excited for the chance to see Michelle live in the flesh, but I am even more excited about what this potentially means for beauty bloggers and vloggers. Could we see more ‘tours’ happening from our other beauty blogging idols like Christine at Temptalia? Or nail workshops by ‘Chelle from Cosmetic Cupcake? I really hope so!
