Today we kick of Foundation Week with a very special entry. It is not often you find a make-up brand that is Australian made and 100% certified organic. In these tough times it is a true rarity and I am so proud to tell the world that Zuii is one of ours (…. until they do something wrong and then, in true Aussie fashion, we will blame them on another country, Exhibit A: Mel Gibson).
Zuii have created two types of foundations to address your personal preference. There is a powder foundation, and the one I will show you today, a liquid foundation.
What I Say ….
- The application was super easy with a make up brush, which is my preferred method. I found it to go on easily, blended without much effort and no streaking.
- The simple pump pack packaging is sturdy and leak proof. Even if you do have that unfortunate mishap of leaving it in your boiling hot car all day, you won’t come back to a pool of foundation on your nice leather seats. Not that I have done that before. *shifty eyes*
- It doesn’t flake the really dry areas of my skin. It also sits quite nicely in any fine lines and doesn’t get all cakey in them.
- For me, the coverage was on the lighter side of medium. I find it to be great for evening out most of my skin tone but still allowing some natural flaws to show through. It has much better coverage over my red marks but less coverage over my dark circles (as you can see in the photos)
- It has a very natural, semi-matte finish. This will obviously depend on how oily your skin is but for my dry skin it provided that natural finish I often lack.
- The floral scent is REALLY strong. I could mostly smell Roses but I could definitely tell that the other floral ingredients had their part in the overall fragrance. If you have a sensitive nose this will probably be too strong for you, but if you love the smell of rich, organic flora than you will love it. The scent stuck around for most of the day so it is really something you have to like the smell of, no half ways about it.
What Zuii Says ….
Medium coverage moisture liquid foundation with a smooth silky finish containing Calendula, aloevera plus vitamin E and C. A Moisturiser and foundation in one. Non comendegic, soothing and suitable for sensitive skins.

I’ve never heard of Zuii.
Great review!
I hadn’t either until very recently, and they make so many products!! I am going to do a few reviews as I also have some lip and eye products.
Not much of an aussie to be proud of. Zui had it’s USDA certification removed as it was found not to be what it said. I’m furious as I bought it and now feel it was all a fraud
Hi Gloria, oh that is very interesting. Do you have a link to the announcement? I will try googling to find one. Cheers, Kimmi

Hi Mary, the shade I used was Natural Fair.
