Lancôme – Teint Miracle Foundation Review & Photos

Lancome Teint Miracle Bottle

It seems my love for Lancôme is growing with each product I try. The quality just bowls me over and I wish I had discovered it sooner.

Teint Miracle was only launched late last year after 10 gruelling years of research. It was a worldwide effort for Lancôme to create this foundation, and they utilised their labs in France, Japan and the USA to get it done. As usual, I am going to avoid rambling on about the amazing things they discovered, and how this formula contains new particles that are different to their other foundations. Blah, blah, blah … boring. Let’s face it. You want to know if and why it is good or bad. Am I right? If not, oh well …. that is what I am going to tell you anyway!

What I Say ….

  • First thing I have to mention about this foundation is that it has SPF 15. Win!
  • The formula contains almost 40% water, so it is very runny. Initially I was concerned it would just thin out too much on my skin, but that wasn’t the case at all. The high amount of water makes it soooooo easy to blend.
  • The hydration was a key factor in this foundation lasting so long on my skin. I can easily get away with applying it in the morning and not have to retouch all day or even before heading out to dinner. Amaze!
  • The coverage is medium-full but very natural looking. There is no caking or dry patches.
  • It doesn’t sit in creases or pores.
  • My skin really looks like it is glowing when I wear this foundation. I know it has some patented ingredients that boast its complexion enhancing capabilities, but how many times have we heard that from a cosmetic house before? But this one, they are telling the truth!
  • There is a very subtle fragrance. Like super subtle. My mother says floral, I say masculine. We can’t agree on what it smells like, but what we do agree on is that it is awesome.
  • The packaging is so classy. It makes me feel like a lady with its slimline glass bottle and light reflecting lid.
  • BEWARE: Only a very small amount is needed. I made the huge mistake of doing one full pump and god is my witness, I could have done a full body application! Only use tiny little squirts at a time because there is no need to waste this precious liquid gold.

I bought this during summer when I was a little darker, so I used 01 Beige Albâtre. I am usually 010 Beige Porcelaine which is a bit lighter, but I like having this darker version because it isn’t SO dark that it looks unbelievably fake. Sure, when you look at before and after photos you can tell the difference but in person, day-to-day I don’t think anyone can tell. I hope.

This is on my wishlist of foundations to try. Although I like full coverage foundations, the finish and the staying power sound good.

    • Kimmi says:

Definitely give it a try. I think this one is well worth giving it a day to see if you like it …. and most counters are nice enough to consult and apply it for you.

That looks lovely on you… Cheekbones for days!

HI! That foundation looks great on you :) I recently bought this, and I am just having trouble getting that gorgeous finish that you seem to have mastered getting LOL :( Do you have any tips on how to apply it, or what to prime the skin with beforehand….. Just not getting the results that I know this foundation can give. Thanks in advance

    • Kimmi says:

Hi Georgie, thank-you for your kind words!! I do think their are a few pointers that can make this foundation work even better. First, A good canvas is a must for any foundation. Make sure you use a moisturiser that works for your skin, and is completely dry before you apply any make up. Next, I like to use a good primer like Make Up For Ever HD Primer (http://pmstudio.com.au/Product/Make-Up-For-Ever-HD-Primer.html) and again, wait until it is completely dry before moving on to the foundation.

To apply the foundation, I personally like to use a foundation brush or a duo-fibre stippling brush because I find it easier to blend into your skin. I personally don’t recommend using your fingers because you just can’t get a good even coverage.

Hopefully this will help a bit but please update me. I really do think the canvas makes a huge difference so play around with some different face creams (1 per day) to see what works for you.

Hi again :) Thanks for your tips, they did seem to make a difference ….. after experimenting a little bit, I like to mix this with my day cream, and a little bit of sunscreen (one can never be to careful LOL). I don’t use a lot of the foundation, as I personally don’t find I need to much, and a little definietly goes a long way. Not sure that it is my HG foundation though, as I am a bit of a hard one to please LOL. Do you have any recomendations for a real “glowy” and light coverage foundation? Thanks again.

    • Kimmi says:

I too struggle to find a good ‘glowy’ foundation (that’s why I loved the finish of this Lancome one on me) but I have learnt a few tricks that can help put a bit of glow into your regular foundation.

Seeing as though you already have the Teint Miracle, I think trying a technique I have written about here http://theplasticdiaries.com/face/how-to-2-minutes-to-fresh-face-with-lancome/ could work for you. Basically you use half the amount of foundation you would regularly use, and mix it with some Lancome Genefique serum. It makes the foundation a little more sheer but far more hydrating.

Another item I love is Make Up For Ever HD Elixer (http://pmstudio.com.au/Product/Make-Up-For-Ever-HD-Elixer.html) which you apply like a serum before your primer. It boosts your skins hydration with in minutes and your skin looks so much brighter.

For a more instant dose of glow I suggest using a highlighter in a nude colour. Benefit’s Girl Meets Pearl (http://www.adorebeauty.com.au/adorebeauty/product/16815/Benefit+Girl+Meets+Pearl+) or YSL Touche Eclat Radiance Touch will allow you to add glow to exactly where you want it. I personally put it high on my cheekbone below the eye socket, the triangle between my eyebrows and my cupids bow.

I will continue the hunt for the perfect glowy, sheer coverage foundation and be sure to report back what I find.

Lovely application of the foundation. Question did you use the foundation to help cover up slight darkness around your eyes? If so if looks wonderful,if not what did you use.

    • Kimmi says:

Hi Rhonda, I only used the foundation in these photos. Amazing, isn’t it??

      • Rhonda says:

Wow, yes it is! I did purchase the foundation and I really do like it, though I did not get that type of coverage you did. However, it did help, of course I have very dark circles.

  7. Noelle says:

Wow it looks so gorgeous! Two questions: What type of skin do you have? and would you recommend this for combination skin?

    • Kimmi says:

      Hi Noelle,
I have dry skin but I do think this would work for combination skin. However, It will depend on how oily some areas of your skin are, as to whether you team it with another base product. If you have a really oily T-Zone I suggest using an oil free primer, such as Smashbox Photo Finish Light, before applying your foundation. I hope this helps but let me know if you have any other questions.

I love Lancome Teint Miracle. I have combination skin and it works great on me.

    • Kimmi says:

I am glad to hear someone with completely different skin to me also loves it. I am always curious how one product can differ between people.
