Just in time for a cold, depressing winter Innoxa have released a brand new range of lipsticks that will keep your pucker smooth and brightly coloured. The Classic Colour lipsticks come in 12 wearable shades and are packed with good things like Vitamin E to make sure it doesn’t dry out our poor chapped lips. Sweet!
Today I am going to show you 9 of the new lipstick shades and share my thoughts on the product.
What I Say ….
- First thing I notice, as always, is the packaging. These lipsticks come with a peek-a-boo colour block base so you can easily see which colour you are about to apply, and a shiny black lid. There is a very nice sounding click when you close the lid and you really have to actually pull to get the lid off. That means this packaging is handbag perfect.
- The colour range is really nice, with a lot of subtle differences but enough of a variety to ensure a colour for everyone. Some of the colours are nearly solid and others have a noticeable amount of shimmer. Nearly all of them are opaque within 2 strokes but some are definitely more sheer than others. I will cover the specifics in the below reviews.
- The formula is pretty consistent across the lot. They are all long lasting and highly pigmented, but some I found would stain the lips a lot easier than others. This is great for making the lipstick last long, but if you are like me and rather clumsy at application, you will find yourself with a bit of extra lipstick around your mouth that is quite difficult to get rid of.
- They all smell absolutely amazing, something along the lines of berries. It reminds me of Super Fizz candy.

Swatches
I will share with you my thoughts on each of the individual shades with the swatches so I can explain the variances in formula.
NOTE: All swatches are taken in natural light.

L-R: Wild Cherry, Plum, Dewberry, Boysenberry, Grapefruit, Guava, Fig, Deep Strawberry and Peach Blossom
Wild Cherry
A bright red with a very slight lean towards pink. The colour applies easily, nearly opaque in one swipe and a healthy sheen. Very minor, if any, amount of shimmer. This one stains quickly so applying with a brush is your best option … as you can see from my below swatch, I did not.
Plum
A vibrant purple that at first application is sheer, but can actually be layered to create a bolder look. This colour has an ever so subtle amount of fine silver glitter, which contributes to the beautiful shine on the lip.
Dewberry
Another purple but with a slightly more brown base and firmly within the berry category. This sheer colour is a great choice for those who are a little afraid to play with colours, but really want to. The silver shimmer is noticeable but still subtle.
Boysenberry
A beautiful mix of berry and wine, the colour is rich and opaque in nearly one stroke. The silver shimmer is much finer and looks like an all-over effect on the lip rather than a glitz of sparkle here or there. This one you need to apply carefully as well because it stains quickly.
Grapefruit
This colour really surprised me because looking at the bullet it seemed a lot darker than it came out. I think this one will turn out very differently for every person because it is really sheer but with a great pop of colour. On my hand it looks almost baby pink but on my lips it looks bright and shimmery. Tough one to call.
Guava
I call this the pink version of Wild Cherry. The coverage and pigmentation is the same, and the minimal shimmer (I am questioning whether my eyes are playing tricks on me) leaves the focus on the great colour. Also apply this one with a brush if you can.
Fig
I have to point out that they got the naming of this one spot on. It really does look like the inside of a fig. The rich brown colour has a red tinge and softened with a slight shimmer finish. I found this one works best on dry lips, without any lip balm. The images below are with a small amount of lip balm and I think the colour didn’t quite grip, making it look patchy.
Deep Strawberry
I really like how this one looks on the lips rather then on the back of my hand. It is a sheer but neutrally complimenting colour. It has a decent dose of colour while still looking very natural. Again the shimmer is very fine so it has an overall shiny effect on the lips.
Peach Blossom
This lipstick would be best described as a shimmery nude, in my opinion. It is quite sheer but it has enough of the brown base to take out most of the pink in my lips. You definitely need really hydrated lips for this one as I find it accentuates any flakiness. If you are a fan of nude lips this is an absolute beauty.

They all look so lovely, especially Fig. I’m yet to try Innoxa, forgot how inexpensive they were!
I know!!! They are such a bargain and such great quality.
These colours look gorgeous. Fig and Guava are my favourite. I haven’t tried these, will check them out in Priceline.
I really really really love Guava. I am such a pink girl haha.
I have a hard time peeling off the sticker that sticks the cap and the lipstick together. Any tip on how to ease this process?
GREAT QUESTION. Now unfortunately you need top quality long bare nails (no acrylic, no gel, nothing). But who has that right? My trick is to use a stanley knife (or just a pare of scissors flipped open) to quickly slide over the sticker where the lid meets the base. It takes five seconds, no effort and you don’t ruin your nails.
Love Dewberry and Grapfruit and Strawberry on your sexy lips Kimmi
Awww thanks Ling!!! I love berry colours.
Wild cherry looks quite appealing to me!
Wild Cherry would have to be my second favourite, after Guava. I love the brightness of them!
