DMK Skincare Challenge – The Photos

The morning after my first DMK treatment - 26 January 2011
Yesterday I shared with you my final thoughts and findings on the skincare program I underwent with Dannè Montague-King. It was great to hear that some of you could visibly see the changes in just the before & after photos provided by the clinic, but I have to say those ‘normal’ photos really aren’t flattering. Today I thought I should show you how my skin has changed with my own camera.

As with any skincare routine there are always some bad days. When you are trying to rid your entire system of all the bad stuff, there are bound to be a few breakouts or spots. You will see these in the pictures. You will see my skin sometimes look darker or whiter or oilier. You will see some spots look darker or lighter. These are all very normal things to go through when going on such a journey.

One thing I feel I have neglected to mention in my posts about DMK so far is that their way of approaching skincare is truly unique. They aren’t about topical treatments to relieve symptoms. What they do is address your individual skin problem far down in the dermis of your skin, remove all the bad stuff and then rebuild your cells how they should have been in the first place. I could ramble on about their amazingness for hours but instead I will just point you to this page. If you want perfection, if you are sick of trying a million skincare systems, if you are ready to dedicate yourself to treating your skin problems, just read it.

Ok let’s get to it ….

  1. I can notice a difference!! I have to confess that looking at the pics in your last post I couldn’t really see much difference but I didnt want to post a comment saying so as you were so damn excited about the results I didn’t want shoot you down. Now, with your own photos, I can honestly see a difference. In the last pic it really looks like you are wearing foundation you skin is so clear and even. And I am surprised to say that there has been a massive reduction in your under eye dark circles – and I didn’t think that was possible. I can now understand why your quest for the perfect skincare range is over!! Ps how do you feel having all of us critically analysing your appearance??!!

    • Kimmi says:

Hehehe I am glad you confessed! I can understand how everything probably looks the same, and that is exactly why I included my own photos.

To me the UV images show the most noticeable change but the normal images show my skin still horrible (stupid yellow lighting).

Honestly, I put myself out there to be analyzed so that other woman can be comfortable talking about these things. It still shocks me that some people rather live in shame over their bad skin, or bad teeth, or whatever because they are too scared to try something new. If I have to be that person to try something just so they feel a little less scared, maybe even inspired, than I am happy to do so. There are amazing advances in the world of aesthetics and I want to uncover them all.

Your skin looks amazing! It’s always looked good, but you can see the glow in the last picture

    • Kimmi says:

Thanks lovely, I have to agree. My skin is just getting better each day and in the past week or so I have really become elated with the results. I think I underestimated the feeling that good skin can give you.

  3. Madam M says:

Wow your own pictures really really show the dramatic changes. Your skin previously was pretty fantastic but now it’s just phenomenal. You must be thrilled.

  4. Bini says:

Wow it’s really noticeable around Your eyes. Noice

    • Kimmi says:

That is the one are I am always looking at. My dark circles were terrible before and as you can probably see went all the way around my eyes (who has that!!), I looked like a panda. Now I can use regular concealer if I feel I need to, and it actually works!

  5. blushfully says:

wow! i was just testing out the DMK acu masque tonight and liking it so far but this post… just definitely makes me so curious to try out DMK! if my skin could even be as close as to how amazing yours is… wow wow wow. And I’ve said this plenty of times before, one of the things that truly makes one happy (makes me happy hahaha)… is clear skin. incredible isn’t it!

  6. Karen says:

Hi, I just purchased some DMK products from my salon and had never heard of it before so i decided to surf the net. I have the same dark eyes as yourself and slight pigmentation in other areas. I am hoping for the same results! Have you continued with the products?

    • Kimmi says:

Hi Karen, That is great news. You have made a wise decision with your purchase!

I absolutely still use DMK and am 100% devoted to their skincare lines. It is miracle stuff but it does take lots of dedication. If you follow the instructions your given than you can look forward to fabulous results.

      I <3 DMK!

  7. Bella says:

Hey just out of curiosity how was your skin immediately after the enzyme treatment? I’m looking at getting one done the day of my birthday party, in the morning and my salon said my skin would be fine that night with some make-up on. Would like to know from someone who has had one…will my skin be oily, red, swollen? Should I have it the day before instead? Thanks in advance for your response.

    • Kimmi says:

Hi Bella, I am usually more than fine after an enzyme treatment, and if anything, I am only super duper hydrated from the slathering of the products applied afterwards.

The only reason I would suggest getting it a day before is because I am a firm believer in the fact you should never try something new on the day of a special occasion.

      Hope this helps :)
