Veet – Suprem’Essence Spray-On Hair Removal Cream Review

Veet Suprem’Essence Spray-On Hair Removal Cream

Previously I have reviewed a few products from Veet, including the Suprem’Essence In-Shower Hair Removal Cream. If you haven’t read that review I strongly suggest you do, especially if you like embarrassing stories that shouldn’t really be shared on an open forum. Anyway, I got my mother to try out the sister product, Suprem’Essence Spray-On Hair Removal Cream and I wanted to share her brief review.

What Mom Said ….

  • The packaging looks simple and it is pretty easy to hold. The can is slim and curved in parts which I think is designed to make gripping easy. It comes with a little pink spatula for removing the hair when done.
  • The instructions were pretty simple: Don’t shake the can, hold the can 2 inches away, spray in a continuous motion. It said you don’t need a thick layer and said to test removal after 3 minutes. If the hair wasn’t moving, leave it on a little longer but don’t exceed 6 minutes. Sounds simple.
  • I started spraying from my ankles upwards and at first the product came out easily, but it stopped in less than 60 seconds. After attempting to reposition the can, thinking maybe it was being held the wrong way or not level enough, the trigger still didn’t work. We starred at it, left it to settle for a few hours and then left it overnight. Still it didn’t work.
  • Even pushing with all my weight did not get the thing to work. It feels like the product is jammed in the nozzle and nothing can set it free. The only way to see down the spout is to break off the actual trigger but that would be pointless. Even if we did get the spout cleared (if that really is the problem), surely it wouldn’t work once the trigger is snapped off.
  • On the plus side, the small section of one leg it did manage to get worked really well. The hair came off easily after 3 minutes and the skin was left feeling smooth.

I don’t know if we got a dodgy can but it does put me off trying this method in the future. The idea of not having to bend and stretch to physically spread the cream out is appealing, but is it worth the money if it doesn’t spray?

What Veet Say ….

Veet Suprem’Essence Spray-On Hair Removal Cream features essential oils and a velvet rose fragrance. The formula is enriched with moisturising ingredients to pamper skin during hair removal. Hair removal cream is easy to use and leaves hair moist with lovely velvet rose fragrance.
