Essie have such a great range of Nail Colours and I am always left wondering how they create more. The Spring Collection 2010 sees another 6 great colours introduced to the range. There is Pop Art Pink, Lilacism, Neo Whimsical, Van D’go, Tart Deco and Red Nouveau which all hale from a pastel, pretty, flower family. Personally I am not a big fan of Orange or Coral colours so I tried out the Pink, Red and two Purple colours.
Before you start make sure you have a good Base Coat and Top Coat ready to go. I always like to match my base/top coat brand to the nail colour brand because you know the formulations won’t clash and cause discolouration. My favourite Essie ones are Ridge Filling Base Coat because my nails are like mountains & valleys, and to finish I like Super Duper Top Coat for its shine and it dries quick.

You already know how unco I am when it comes to painting my nails but I love how they look so I am always collecting polishes, and like all Essie nail polishes they go on smooth and easy so the only problem I have to battle is my shaky hands!
I found the Pop Art Pink was still a little pale after the second coat so for that colour only I needed to use 3 coats …… to really show the colour. My personal favourite is Red Nouveau because the colour is bright without verging on Coral, which as I previously mentioned I am not a fan of! I usually go for dark Reds but this one reminds me of bright, healthy Red Lilies. It also looks great against my pale White skin.
If you’re not sure what colour to pick why not try out the Spring Collection 2010 4pc Cube which comes complete with mini versions of Pop Art Pink, Lilacism, Tart Deco and Red Nouveau. Also makes for a GREAT gift.
