Deodorant is one of those product you always need. Some may be more interesting than others, and everyone has their preference on what they do and don’t like. For me, I like any deodorant that works!

I don’t know what makes me so unique, but for some reason very few deodorants work for my armpits. The ones that everyone else usually raves about do nothing for me. The hypochondriac inside me says I have over-active sweat glands, but I know that isn’t true because the only time I break a sweat is if my deodorant isn’t working or I have night terrors (the night terrors are way more common than they should be). Despite the lack of deodorants working for me, I also like to change each time I finish one. That is how I live on the edge …. changing deodorants.

When I got the original deodorant from Dove, I was skeptical. I have never used their infamous beauty bar, but I know they are all about being moisturising. My thought process was that if they are about moisturising, how can they dry out any sweat my armpits create?

What I Say ….

• The first thing I noticed was the comfortable shaped bottle that fit in my hand perfectly. The sprayer on the top is so easy to push and the deodorant comes out like a mist. No misdirected squirting (that sounds wrong).
• The scent is very ‘Dove’, which would be fitting seeing as though it is Dove. Hrmm. Point being, it is very soft, fresh and clean. I later grabbed a Dove beauty bar to compare it to the “real original Dove scent” and it is the same.
• It lasts a really long time, even when I put it through serious testing like 14hr flights from Sydney to Los Angeles. Yep, I applied it in the morning and when I got to the other end I didn’t stink. I felt super uncomfortable for sitting that long in the same clothes, but my armpits did not stink!
• It is safe to use after shaving. And by safe, I mean it doesn’t feel like you are burning your skin off. Actually, you don’t feel it at all.
• My underarms have been feeling noticeably smoother since using it. I know that sounds like a joke, and I never thought armpit skin could feel softer because it is a naturally bumpy area, but it really does feel softer.
• Only downside, this one can be the bearer of white marks. I am notorious with getting white marks on my clothes and I have got them a few times with this deodorant. If you are one of those people who are capable of putting their clothes on without dragging every inch of fabric over their armpit, than I salute you …. and I recommend you this product. I believe there is also an Invisible formula which removes that whole white mark issue. I think I will try that one next!
